Reach was created by professional educators and experienced homeschool families who wanted a clear pathway forward for students during the pandemic. Our mission is to provide families with the solutions they need to either supplement or replace their children's schooling.
In this time of uncertainty, we wanted to create a space that allowed children to not only survive, but thrive. Our talented instructors provide the foundation your child needs to have a successful learning experience.
Reach Academy offers two basic services.
First, we support homeschool families by offering core academic and supplemental classes for grades 2-8 to enrich your children's educational experience.
Classes are offered Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 2:30pm.
Classes may be taken a la carte, part-time, or full-time.
Second, we offer one-on-one tutoring. If your child is struggling in their studies we are here to help. We have qualified instructors in math, science, history and English for K - 8 learning.
Tutoring services are available in-person, Monday-Friday 2:30pm - 5:30pm.
Virtual tutoring services are available by request.
At Reach we believe that learning is a dynamic process that shouldn't only happen in the classroom. Our students participate in daily self-directed learning opportunities and recreational recess as well as weekly learning excursions to enhance their classroom studies. We incorporate hands on learning experiences and practical life skills into our curriculum to expose our students to more than what a textbook alone can offer. Learning can happen anywhere and at Reach we strive to give our students a variety of educational experiences.
Inside the classroom, our multi-grade level classes are designed to engage students of multiple abilities. With a high level of cooperation and social interaction, students are challenged to become creative, critical thinkers.
Our daily schedule has been designed to provide multiple “brain breaks” for students throughout the day. During our morning “brain break” students are free to grab a snack in the cafe, tinker in our maker space, or cozy up with a book in our reading lounge. During our afternoon "brain break" students participate in recess at our indoor gym facility. From soccer skills, to obstacle courses and freeze tag this break after lunch provides students with a chance to exercise, socialize and enjoy being a child! We believe that these "brain breaks" are critically important for a child’s emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
Parents are an integral part of the Reach family and are provided weekly activity and participation reports so that they are active participants in their child’s education.
